What is the preoperative procedure? Initially it is necessary to obtain the patient’s health history (diseases, medications, allergies, etc.). After a complete ophthalmological examination and detailed measurements, there are the necessary data to perform the operation. The decision should always be made in consultation with the ophthalmologist who knows the patient’s history well. In our routine, about 50 (!) Exams are performed and last 2-3 hours.

On the scheduled day of the operation, the patient optionally takes a sedative pill and lies down on the laser bed, where he is given drops of local anesthesia in the eyes so that he feels only a slight pressure during the operation. This is followed by cleaning the lashes and fixing them with a special sterile sticker while holding the eye open (the other eye is covered) with a special tool. With the help of the laser, the “flap” is created.
